The knock sensor is located on the side of the engine block. And the oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system. There will be one oxygen sensor (upstream) screwed into either the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter. The other oxygen sensor (down stream) will be screwed into the exhaust pipe just after the catalytic converter.

Where is the knock sensor for my 96 isuzu rodeo v6

YAEEH (yet another easter egg hunt)
why do you ask. scan it and it has DTC for knock? nah, bet not.
be best to scan it, no?

usa RODEO.
GM V6 engine with their own 3.2-liter 24-valve SOHC V6
LG6 , i think ended in 1992.
or
3.2 L 6VD1/6VD1W V6 (bingo)?

YAEEH
ill toss coin, land on 6vd1

some dont have a knock sensor. the 2.6L does.
the 1998 6vd1 has one, but not 96, in usa.

I even looked at your ECU/CPM schematic,
for the V6, and it shows, no knock sensor,(usa spec car)
The EFI spark system used on your car dictates this.
as knock (KS) controls spark timing, (retards it at knock)
but some versions have no KS sensor.

if fitted its on the block top.
has 1 wire. and screws in on a simple stud .
some are under intake manifold
its just a threaded shallow hole in block,
its only a microphone device.
here is the block a real photo.
some have it , others, dont
and one more fact, it came 92 and went and came.98
facts.

clear? see red circle below?

Where is the knock sensor located on the 98 Isuzu Rodeo 2,2 L 4 cyl engine

knock sensor
2.2L 4 banger, most are on side of engine block.
ill look for your.
does the PCM scans tell you its bad? that be first.
its just a microphone, and can be fooled
a bad valve train can make noise and fool it.
the knock sensor has 2 wire,(few things do there)
one wire is yellow, other is green. (clue 2) this usually nails it.
my online isuzu books sux a bit, zero locator.s
but guess what, 3rd google search.
and is where most are, on 4 bangers.
id use a stethoscope ($4) to listen to see if engine has internal noises first, (not ping) but valve train or piston slap, or rod knocks.
why not post symptoms and not just hunts....????
