At the fuel pump relay you should have 1 full time hot wire. 1 hot wire when you turn on the switch. 1 ground, and the other wire goes to the pump. Test the ground to be sure it is good. If so then jump a hot to the one that goes to the pump and see if it runs.If it does then you have a bad relay or ECM. You can swap the relay with another of the same # from tour fuse box to test it.There is also a ground on top of the frame near the filler neck, check it too. Good Luck

SOURCE: no power at fuel pump chev.S-10 looking for fuel pump relay and fuse

The fuel pump relay is located Under hood, driver side, upper firewall, mounted in relay block.

The fuse is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The fuse block should be visible from underneath the steering column, near the pedal bracket. If the panel is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may be used on later models to hide the block.

SOURCE: 1994 S10 Blazer Fuel Issues?

YOU SHOULD INSTALL ORIGINAL GM PART AND NOT AFTER MARKET. I INSTALLED 2 AFTER MARKET PUMPS THEY WORKED FOR A WHILE THEN STOPPED. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE, SINCE I INSTALLED GM PART NO PROBLEM.......

How to get a new fuel pump working on a Chevy venture van

Does it have battery voltage from the fuel pump relay ? Do you know how to check automotive electrical circuits ? Viewing a wiring diagram an using a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter to test is the proper way to see why it doesn't work . Your best bet mite be to have a qualified repair shop check it out . The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM - engine computer .

Whatcani do no power to fuel pump

Helps to know what you are working on, but generally you have two fuses, a relay, perhaps a roll over switch and sometimes a ASD circuit. You need a wiring diagram and then trace voltage path.

1995 mitsubushi wont start and it isint getting fuel and it backfires when trying to start

Backfire can be caused by lean fuel condition. No fuel can be fuse, relay, filter or pump. Check for power at pump and if none, trace backwards. If pump runs, check fuel pressure at fuel rail.

Find the fuel pump relay and see if it still has a power feed. I hope you didn't hurt the computer with battery on backwards, but that is a possibility.
Pull the fuel pump relay, and check all the terminals it plugs into with a test light or voltmeter. One terminal should have power. It should be hot at all times. If nothing trace the power supply from battery to that relay. A fuse or fusible link may have gone out. If it does have power, check at the fuel tank for power on the pump wire when the engine is cranking. If power there, likely the pump is gone. If no power signal when cranking the engine, it's back to the relay to check the fuel pump circuit. You will have to see a wiring diagram.

The blue wire changes to Blue/White. It gets power from the Fuel Pump Relay. Fuse number 11 is the power source. The relay is up under the dash panel, blue connector

2000 S10 4.3L Fuel pump stopped working out of the blue. We Put a new Fuel Pump in, new harnes to fuel pump, new fuel filter, new relay, new fuses in IGN C and ECM B fuses. Still the pump will not turn on....

Did you verify that the relay terminals have the appropriate signals to them?

ECM fuse B (20-amp) should provide power at all times to the orange wire of the fuel pump relay. The relay coil receives ground via the black wire, and relay coil gets power from the dark green/white wire. When the relay is closed, you should have battery power on the gray wire.

The relay trigger wire should have power from the dark green/white wire in terminal 1 of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) connector for the first couple of seconds after they key is turned to run (to prime the system) and when the truck is running. Checking for all the appropriate signals at the relay is where I would start. That is after I checked for diagnostic codes.

Believe the fuel relay is the middle relay out of the three in the left rear of the glove box. Last thing is to hot wire the fuel pump if you can not get it scanned, see if the pump is bad unless your going to have a shop work on changing the fuel pump.
Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted.
