How to replace the power sterring

This is an item that may be found in some Salvage yards. I would go to an independent shop for a better price. Remember that you also have airbags in the column and a little experience would help. A Salvager could find the same color. If you forgo a power tilt and convert to a manual tilt, it would be cheaper. Your car is 14 years old and there should be some in Salvage yards.

Most cars are similar to these except for the oil cooler setup.

I have the same problem, I've replaced the pump/hoses 5 times I'm thinking that it might be the steering box now

oil level in tank too low so air getting into system,the pump not generating the pressure.the seals on the rams worn the steering colum plate which moves the pump activaters

You need to replace the rack and pinion.

sill?..ohh ok......seal ..no.. the one you see is mainly a dust seal, meaning internal seals have failed due to wear of seals and metal tolerances out of spec now ...cheapest and easiest to replace with rebuilt rack...well.... yes to answer you ..you could take it out and rebuild it yourself with new internal seals provided critical metal areas are not worn
