Yes, you can as long as the pulley diagram is the same for the engines with no AC. There will most likely be a diagram on the front of the engine or in your owners manual showing the belt diagram for both cars with AC and without AC. Just make sure to buy a different belt that will fit it now. Hope this helps. Good luck!

What size belt do i need to bypass ac compressor o a 99 chrysler town & country?

I wouldn't because you need the defrost to work while in Rain with windows up or in the winter. Good luck with finding measurement for mini-van. Not many people void them.

Can i use a shorter serpentine belt to bypass the ac unit on a chrysler town and country 3.8 engine

you may omit the compressor with a shorter belt of you can find one. just make sure the rest of the pulleys are working especially the water pump and power steering.

Serpintine belt

if the ac is not working then if you leave it switched off there will be no need to get a special belt to by-pass it. The pulley on the ac compressor is just an idler pulley that only turns the compressor when there is current to the clutch in the pulley. IF you never use the ac the pulley just spins . The problem with special belts is if they fail (and they do ) it will be where/ when you cannot get a special belt but you will always get a proper belt from any spares store or garage.

Air conditioner comes on comes out hot

the belt driven aircondisioning unit is located under the hood. there are usualy metal lines coming off of it and one should have a valve in it ...looks like a tire, air valve. when car is running, turn the AC on. the unit has a two part clutch that the belt will turn. when the AC is off...the pump or compressor will engage and the hole belt driven piece will rotate when the AC button is on. , when it is off....or not getting power to the clutch , the pully will spinn but the inside clutch will not.

iff the unit engages and turns when the AC is turned on, and still blows hot air, then you may have a leak in your refrigerant line. iff it dosnt engage, then check your fuses .if everything is good to go..then it is mostlikly a vacume issue located in the dash behind the AC switch and display that moves the vent from hot to cold....

I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country. It blows air, but not cold air when AC is engaged. We put a test light on the AC clutch, no power. We swapped fuses and fuse relays, still not results. Not sure...

Low or no refrigerant will keep the compressor from getting power to prevent damage to the compressor. I would make sure the system has freon in it first.

Trying to eliminate a/c compressor need size of belt once i remove compressor

Call the auto parts store and tell them you are doing that.
They can look it up on their computor with ac or without ac, and get the right belt.
Some vehilces don't have a listing for no ac and can't be bypassed.

What size belt do you need to bypass the a/c compressor on a 2003 Chrysler town & country? Will the pulley have to be taken off of the compressor?

You have to purchase an air conditioner compressor delete kit. Any belt you try to put on will not work duse to the routing. The kit comes with a bracket an idler pulley and a new belt with all nessessary hardware to install they run about $100.00

Air conditioner in 2000 town and country van is producing hot air...not just outside air temp, but hotter air than outside. freon is o.k., compressor is working, but switches on dashboard seem to not...

Sure the AC is working? If so, the suction line to the compressor should be nice and cold to the touch and sweating. If that checks out, and the fan is working, then the issue has to be with the device/switch that directs the cold air from the evaporator to your dash vents. That could be a PIA because it might just be inside the dashboard.
