Yes, it sound like a fuel problem. It's a 5 speed, have you tried push starting it? Try that and if it starts but within 20-120 seconds dies than you have a bad fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter. The filter would be seen as you were to let the car sit for an hour or so and try starting it. It would run and again shortly after die. You may have to bring it to a garage. Good luck.

Looking at other comments for this car, it may be a crankshaft sensor. This can stall the car and prevent it from starting but it will crank over. If it is a fuel problem, spray some starting fluid into the intake. If it starts and runs for a few seconds and then dies, it may be a fuel delivery problem. If it does not start or try to start, it isn't a fuel delivery problem.

93 corolla suddenly shut of while driving. all electricity seems fine, but the car wont start up again, can anyone help me?

I had the same happen to my 94 Corolla, it cut off while driving. Change out your distributor and adjust idle before tightening down.

Why would turning the steering wheel while cranking engine gets my car to start?

The ignition switch in the column most likely has a break in it. So when you move the steering wheel, it moves the wire so it completes the connection when you turn the key. Have the ignition switch replaced.

My tomberlin punisher 150 go-cart will not start what could be the problem its not the starter i think tis something electrical

check the spark at the plug, work out from there. without hearing it turn over, or even smelling it while you cranked it, I'm not certain... by that I mean... does it try to start or does it just turn over. is there a strong odor of unburned gas? these would all point to a lack of spark.

My 2003 jeep grand cherokee will crank and run fine. drive a couple miles stop at light will shut off want crank back up .let it set a while will start right up.

Check the crank position sensor. If this goes out, when it gets hot, the sensor will think the crank/timing is in the wrong position. They did this to prevent engine damage in the event that your timing is off. However, when the sensor gets old, as it gets hot, it malfunctions shutting off the engine. Then, when it cools down a bit, all is well.
IF IT IS THE CRANK SENSOR, REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY. Repeatedly trying to start an engine w/the CPS out can throw the timing off. This happened to a friend's Kia Sepphia once and it locked up her engine.
