Starts won't stay running, will not accelerate when gas pedal pushed to floor, when dies it will start right back up, will occassionally die while coasting down the road

Sounds like a fuel pump issue. Confirm readings with a fuel pump gauge. Post the psi readings so I can see them. I'm away from my reference material right now, but I think there is either a TSB or a recall out on the problem you are describing. Check with a dealer to be sure. Have the dealer run yourVIN to see if you're part of the recall or TSB.

This is most likely an ignition module located inside the distributor that is failing intermittently, this truck should be brought to a Auto Zone to check for trouble codes that are stored, they do the code check for free and this will help narrow down the problem so you won't be changing parts that are not bad.

Try cleaning or replacing spark plugs, it should fix the problem.

Your vehicle is equipped wit the OBD!1 (on board diagnostic system ) when your check engine light turns on it is setting a code. You need to have it scanned to get this code. This will point you in a direction to your problem. When you place the accelerator to the floor you put the system in the clear flood mode which is allowing you to start but then the problem takes over and kills the engine.
