Try cleaning the idle air controle. Mine was shutting off everytime it warms up and woldnt stay on durintg idling. The engine will reset after some miles of driving like that and correct but once the battery cable is unhooked it resets back to normal and will give you the same problems. Cleaning the IAC will correct......

Go to an electronics shop supplier and get a can of freeze spray.
it cools to -60f. let the jeep run until it misbehaves ,then cool down the ignition module.if it runs, you know it is bad. you could have either a heat related electronic issue,or something like a frozen egr valve ,or iac motor that keeps leaning and leaning out the mixture.
the catalytic converter could be plugged...usually a sulfur smell is with that and setoff the check engine light.
,the computer controls the idle and the fuel injection.
you may have an issue in the ecm itself. cooling down the ecm will let you know if there is an issue.
even a distributor cap that is cracked can heat up and fail
and the lead wires themselves.

Could be fuel delivery. Partially clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. Changing the fuel filter is a challenge but possible for a do it yourselfer. This is where I would go next.
Is it possible to be ready to check for fuel pressure or spark when it stalls?
If fuel pressure is within range when it stalls, then crankshaft sensor could be breaking down due to heat.

If the crank sensor solved the problem before it may have gone bad already , I would start with that. Fuel pressure on a 95 grand needs to be 37 to 41 psi. Check to make sure you have adequate pressure . You may also want to test your Idle air control valve and Throttle position sensor to insure proper operation.

1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo starting problems

Check to see if the fuel pump is running after it shuts down...could be a relay or the pump itself (overheating internally) Checked the fuel filter yet? Some crank sensors need to be shimmed. If it's too close to the flywheel even though you recently changed it, if it's too close to the wheel it can fail again. May not be the case but worth checking over. Also check the ceramic resistor on the left fender near the master cylinder if you have one. That too can cause problems.

Acts like it's not getting gas

Poor accelleration, stalling, running rough at idle, low power are symptoms of poor spark. With engine running, remove and replace spark plug wires one by one. when you do this you may note that the engine becomes rougher or quits on certain plugs, and does not seem to change at all on one of them. the long plastic boot has a rubber insulator at the end of it. Spark has been known to jump from this seam over to the metal tube, effectively killing that cylinder, making it seem as though you have a fuel problem. If it is really a fuel delivery issue, the pump is accessed by removing the rear seat. under that is an panel that gives acess to the pump/level indicator assembly. The fuel filter is typically on the firewall, left side (follow the tubing going to your fuel rail , you'll find it.)

I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Starts then shuts off

Sounds like insufficient fuel delivery. Likely problem is the fuel filter is plugged.

Will start up run for awhile then stall and wont restart

Hello, I would start with a general tune up. Spark plugs and wires, Fuel Filter, Oil Change and Filter Change, Air Filter Change, Some injector cleaner would not hurt eirther. Be sure to lubricate your high mileage car and also use a farily good oil for your motor as well. The run for awhile problem sounds like bad spark plugs. I would change your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotarty button.

Rough idling in an '06 Jeep Rubicon

the problem you have could be many things, coolant sensor -egr -tps-air temp sensor-idle speed control-vacuum leaks-mass air flow-fuel injectors-ignition without scanning for a code the only option is parts changing that sucks with more info i might be able to narrow it down.
