My brake lights stay on my Toyota and the lights on the dashboard are all off. I got my car cleaned and washed, some water got on the battery and would not start, cleaned the cables, finally started and smoke was coming from the back, left side of car(facing car), that stopped but was able to go home,(2hr ride). The next day, went to work and someone said my lights were on, i turned the switch to off,(was off) and went back inside. Came out to go home, car would not start. Come to find out, the brake lights had stayed on, got a jump, car runs better then before but brake lights are still on and interior lights off. I have to take the battery cable off so as not to kill the battery again.
Try pulling your brake pedal up and see if that causes the brake lights to turn off. The problem is most likely a bad brake switch that fits up under your dash and is attached to your pedal, it may not be releasing right and causing your lights to stay on. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes and I will see if I can help some more if needed...
