2004 Saturn ion. Car won’t start. Battery seems to be good, cuz all dash lights come on. Car won’t crank.

Does the starter make a noise when you crank it? If not, first make sure you have 12+ volts in the battery and good battery connections. If the battery has less that 9 volts, then replace the battery. Try using a jumper box or a set of jumper cables from another vehicle to start the car. If you can see the starter, have someone strike it with a hammer while turning the key to the crank position. If it starts, replace the starter.

My 1985 corvette has power to dashboard and lights but when trying to crank nothing happens no clicking or nothing what could be wrong?

Kenneth, Seized solenoid/starter, bad fuse /relay,theft deterent engaged,etc,etc.

Check starter relay in the fuse / relay box in the engine compartment .Do you know what a starter relay is ? Go on youtube an look at video on testing . Engine Won Start No Crank Diagnosis Troubleshooting Starting System Issues

92-95 honda civic ex 1.6L vtec won't start! New battery, new main relay. Still no start. As you notice the engine would crank but won't start up. Also the dash lights aren't lighting up either....

Did you get the key switch checked out ? The dash indicator lights have to be on for the engine to start. So you are not getting power to the dash lights, and probably not to the computer or ignition coil either.

Are you saying the engine cranks but won't start, or the engine won't crank ?
If the engine does not crank, you would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch as well as the ground connections.

Truck will crank but it won't fire.

My guess would be the key switch.

My truck cranks strong but just won't start up. The interior dash lights as well as the tail lights both do not work

My ex -husband stole my 4 runner and disabled it I think he took fuses. this is what it does, it will crank but not turn all the way over, and it will not go into any gear I counld not even go to nuetral "someone PLEASE help me I am Trying to go home and he knows I can't leave any other way another method of control

!994 LaSabre starts ...runs awhile then turns off. Fuel pump replaced, ran for a week ...now stalling out again. WOn't start this last time around.

If it is a 3.8 engine change the crank sensor,they go bad on the 3.8 engines.

Does it make a "clicking" noise when you turn the key?... Try tapping the starter (or more specifically the solenoid that is attached to the starter) with something hard. It may help if you get someone else to turn the key while you tap the solenoid. That solenoid could be stuck and keeping it from cranking over. Let me know how it goes....

Well go ahead and try tapping that solenoid anyways, and see if that works. If not, check to make sure your battery has enough juice and cranking amps to crank your starter and flywheel. Even if you try jumpstarting it it could take a while before you have enough juice in it to turn that flywheel. Hope this helps you out. Let me know happens...
