Air Conditioning Dual Temperature will not adjust

Temperature adjusts fine on the Driver's side, but stays constant on the Passenger's side (around 65F).  Doesn't matter if you are using heat, A/C, or just the fan.  Dealer quoted me $150 just to open the dash and look at the problem.  any thoughts?

The dual mode blend air door has a broken pivot on the passenger door. There is a revised part available through Chrysler. A couple things to know, Your entire instrument panel will be either removed or rolled back into the seat to gain access to the heater housing which is where the blend door lives. If your dealer says $150 to open the dash, you need a different dealer. He either isn't aware of the on going problem with the WJ's or doesn't have a qualified Jeep tech to work on it. This job usually is about 5 hours or so and will cost closer $750. It can be done in your driveway if you're patient and have plenty of time.

Why is there cool air blowing on the driver side and hot air blowing on the passenger side in A/C mode?

There is a door if you will that isn't closing on the passenger side. Something may have fallen down the vent or the control that closes is inoperable, Probably needs to go in to a qualified tech to take anything apart,

2001 Cadillace SLS air conditioning

It sounds like you have "zone" climate control. With "zone" climate control you can adjust the driver, passenger and sometimes other "zones" to different temperatures for the comfort of all passengers. Make sure that the Driver side is set to a cool temperature. If it is then you more than likely have a problem with the temperature controller for the driver side.

Air comes out colder on left than right and back

Well you say you do not have dual zones. so you can not adjust temperature for passenger side, there are no temperature dials for the passenger side, only one that controls both driver and passenger. if this is the case then you may just be low on Freon gas, that would be the first thing i would have tested as the rear is hot also.
Another thing that would cause the rear to be hot would be a bad blend door to rear or an expansion valve, the first step is to find out why you get hot air out of passenger side lets forget about rear for now, you do not have dual zones and drivers side is cold and passenger side hot, that is something when you do not have dual zones, so start with making sure the system is full, a low system can cause your problem. hope this is helpful good day.

Driver side dual air control will not heat.passenger side works fine.

1. Install a scanner and check for codes in the Heater Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.

2. If the scanner does not have the ability to get into HVAC system, then use a voltmeter to check the feedback from the temperature motor.

3. Back probe the Dark Blue wire at the right temperature motor and make sure the voltage is in the range of 0.5-4.5 volts.

4. If voltage is above or below that specification, then replace the temperature motor and disconnect the battery to reset the system. Potential Causes: Temperature Motor

Air doesn't work on passenger side.

The air control actuators under the dash are electric. There is one for each side. Work the slide adjustment up and down or turn the knobs to test the controls. Could be a bit of **** on the inside parts. If nothing changes you will need to have it repaired.

Passenger side blows hot air when front control set to Air

you cant adjust it ,this requires the dealers computer to re set it,or a phyiscal control has packed up like a vacumn pipe has split where it pushes onto the valve that controls the flap in the heater unit.

Air conditioning

On a w body car with a single temp adjustment control (not a dual zone) your problem should be a low refrigerant charge. Due to the design of this evaporator, a low refrigerant charge will cause the furthest areas from the inlet and outlet hoses (the drivers side) to not remove the heat from the incoming air. This allows the air on the drivers side to be outside temp but refrigerated on the passenger side. In cars with Dual Zone controls you must not only verify the refrigerant charge level, but also check the mode doors which control the air flow and regulate the temp. To check the refrigerant level do not use pressure gauges alone. Verify a proper charge level by checking the temperature of the two aluminum lines going in to the firewall of the vehicle. With the A/C set to high the temperatures should be within 5 degrees of each other. If not, then there is a charge issue. I hope this helps
