Emissions system light is on steady. When I get gas, the car doesn't want to start. Usually takes a good three tries and a little bit of pressure on gas pedal to get it to go. Only time it does this is right after we get gas. Otherwise runs great. Thought maybe a gas cap prob and replaced that....no luck. Tried an easy fix first. Any ideas?

check for loose or cracked vacuum lines, and/or the rotor. It may not be making consistant contact.

it is not the regulator if it has 40 lbs of pressure try to pinch off the return line and if pressure drops quickly it is either the check valve in the pump or the rubber seal between the pump and the sending unit

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump

seems that your vent hose on the tank is plugged so the tank is over pressurrizing sending the error code and not allowing you to fill it all the way unclog the vent tube and this will solve the problem

i had a similar problem and it was the fuel pump
