#1 Misses, Engine Light goeos On then Off.

Since you had to pulse the injectors to start the motor its possible your camshaft position sensor/crankshaft position sensor is bad (More than likely your Camshaft Position Sensor). Another possibility is your MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor may be bad, going bad, or just dirty. The parts store sells a cleaner for the MAF sensor. DON'T clean the sensor with anything else, it will damage it. Hope this helps. Let me know.

Some bad gas may have plugged up the system. Try changing the fuel filter and running injector cleaner in the tank.

COULD BE CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS OR LOW COMPRESSION IF EVERY THING ELSE CHECK OUT OKAY BEEN REPLACED.

Injector cleaner is 10 oz of a product in an 18 gallon
fuel tank. Wasted your money on hype

Professional cleaning is okey ,but to really clean
injectors they have to come out & be mailed away
to be cleaned with ultra sound & spray pattern matched

I will guess you have as most vehicles do today ignition
misfires,then you can check the egr valve,O2 sensors,clean
maf sensor & basically just make love to it until you find something
not right.

Don't need a dealer,but need to be carefull of what a repair
shop will do.
Tune-ups went away with the horse & buggy

You want only the present drivability & code related issues
resolved,make that clear,your in charge,study using the internet

OBD2 Systems

check the vacuum hoses, and did you check the inside of your distributor cap for cracks or arcing. also spray some w - d 40 lightly around the mounting of the throttle body , in order to see if the gasket is leaking, you will have to start the vehicle, then while it is missing, then spray the w - d 40, and see if the engine levels out, if so , you have found a vacuum leak at the throttle body mounting.

Sounds like fuel injectors need cleaned I had this issue but found a really awesome product that my service guys recommended. I believe it's Chevron Techron - in a black bottle - lot cheaper than having injectors cleaned... I used a bottle everytime I changed oil

missing at idle and good at highway speeds typically means either leaking injectors, vacuum leak and/or base engine concerns

I'd start with the injectors

replace the cap,and rotor,if this does not help,use a good fuel cleaner,like lucas,and heet together for cleaning and moister.You may have clogged injectors,also check the fuel filter,if there is not enough fuel pressure it will do this also.

probably injectors fit new fuel filter and add cleaner to system.

Code 51 is an injector circuit fault, not a lean condition. Check the injector wiring and do an ohms test on the injectors with a DVOM.
