SOURCE: Is there a ring gear in a MR2 MK1 Transmission

The ring gear is mounted to the flywheel for your starter teeth to engage and turn the engine. Most all cars have this ring gear. If you are having problems starting it may be worn teeth at one point. Auto trans and manual trans will have a ring gear for the starter.

Where is the fuel pump on a 1987 mr2

hi Its located in the TOP of the fuel tank itself which is in the centre of the car. Its possibly the hardest part to get to in a mk1 MR2 as you have to drop the tank.it is not a 2 hour job. Be sure to set aside an entire day to getting this thing in and out. You must disconnect all electrical line going to the gas tank. These are located under the center concole. Then remove all fuel lines to the tank. Removing the coolant line made things more accessable. If you are replacing the pump, dont forget a new tank o-ring. I would also recommend replacing the fuel sender unit at this time as well. Good luck, please comment and rate thanks

Cold heaters on Kia Sedona MK1 2000 W plate. Whilst running the engine and looking under the dash I can see all the moving parts on the outside of the heater box and a large white paddle device which I...

If when you change the temp setting the blend door moves through its range of motion, it is working properly. If you have a hearter water control valve on the heater hose in the engine compartment, it should also open and close when you change the setting. If you don't have such a valve on the heater hose, the problem could be a clogged heater core. To test for a clogged core, turn the heater off for a few minutes then turn it back on. If it is warm for a short while and then turns cold, the core has insufficient flow.
Or, if your engine is running cold, your engine thermostat may be stuck open.
Please let me know if you have questions.

1999 Ford Taurus 3.0l EFI 6cyl, Heater does not work, only blows cold air, have already flushed the radiator cooling system, and installed a new thermostat, still cold air. Anyone's help will be Greatly...

It could be air locked. Feel both your heater hoses, and, with the engine running, loosen the one that's cold, if there is one. If that doesn't help, it is probably your heat control valve that is malfunctioning.

Heter blows cold and problems sercultting . is it

Sounds like it is stuck. The location of it is on the passenger side of the motor to the right of the oil filter. Also a good upgrade to your MR2 is to go with a 170 deg thermostat.( TRD) The mr2 comes with a higher temp model witch will run your car hotter. Cooler is better! Good luck!
