It's the fuel vent pipe, check and make sure it's vented and not stopped up with dirt or road debris

Sounds like you may need to inspect and replace your fuel line from front to rear. no other reason for your problem.

Hi, go under the car and look behind the tire ,there you going to see a black rubber boot ,if that boot is broken that is were the grease is coming out from,if so , the cv joint was runing dry and need to be replaced, is the part inside the boot, the boot need to be replaced too.this should cost betwen $100.00 to $200.00.( parts and labor.) C1

you might want to check your cabin air filter or the charcoal canister underneath the hood. it's purpose is to remove any excess fumes from the gastank. if it's broken or clogged that would explain why you smell gas in the car

I recently had the same problem. It turned out that the fuel regulator on the engine at the left side just above the intake manifold had an intermitent leak. The gas leaking was not always visible so I had the regulator changed and that solved the problem.
