They do not have a inline fuel filter. The stranier on the fuel pump is the only filter I know of.

Hello
If were having problems with starting in the morning
you might have gas draining back into the tank causing a hard start.
or if you look at the throttle body there is a tps throttle potion censer if this is not getting a signal this too will cause a hard to start,
Is there a check engine light?

SOURCE: where is the fuel pump and fuel filte located????

Sounds like a good possibility that this is your problem. I am not real familiar with this particular vehicle, but most modern EFI vehicles have the fuel pumps inside the tank and the fuel filter will be somewhere inside the frame, underneath between the tank and engine. One thing to try is to take off the fuel cap and with ignition off have someone listen while turning the key to the on position, but not starting for a whirring noise which only lasts a couple of seconds until the system is pressurized. Then even harder to hear, start the engine and listen for a constant whirring. If neither of these tests produce the desired effect then your fuel pump is probably bad and the tank has to come out. You can have a pressure test done to confirm.

I have a 2000 mustang that will not stay running,,, it was running fine, i parked it for two months in the cold and didnt start it up, when i did... it wont run if u give it gas however it will set and...

I would run the fuel pump for a little while with the fuel line disconnected from the engine into a gas can . Although you might have changed everything you might still have residual water in lines or motor. I would still put dry gas in the tank

97 Saturn sl2. Won't start after it gets warm. If you drive it for 15-20 minutes and try to restart it will not engage the starter. Wait a couple hours and it will start fine

It is your engine coolant temp sensor (ECTS). 99.9%. the saturn made them with a plastic tip, so they crack over time. A replacement should be about 15 bucks and not too hard to replace. You'll notice your engine temp gauge not working (always cold).

I don't know much about cars, but here's what happens. When your car is cold, the fuel runs rich. Your broken sensor is always reading that the engine is cold, but when it is warm, it runs too rich and floods your engine, not allowing it to start. When your engine is actually cold, everything is fine.

Put new battery in car. Now it is hard to start. Replaced fuel filter no help. What could the problem be? Engine cranks ok. Seems like fuel not getting to engine. Seems to run fine after it is started....

fuel pump is in the tank but don't think that it is the problem if it runs fine after started. sounds like a cold start problem alot of these vehicle have what they call a cold start injector that supplies the initial fuel to get the car started and then the regular injectors do the rest have this checked and make sure it is working properly.

99 gmc wont start

check electric fuel pump operation ( located in the fuel tank ). Occasionally a fuel pump will burn out when running out of fuel, due to the fact the pump runs DRY for about 30 seconds till the fuel stops flowing out of the injectors, the engine quits, simultainously losing oil pressure which FINALLY shuts off the fuel pump. Sometimes TOO LATE. Hope this helps

1990 camry will not start

this is just a shot in the dark, but wiggle the wires on the top of the air filter canister...i had this same problem (though i never got in to check if the engine plugs) after I changed the air filter.

I had started to take that sensor off bove the air filter because i thought i had to, turns out i didn't need to do that. I put the air filter in, and my car wouldn't start...I unscrewed and screwed back in the tiny screws that hold that plug into the top of the airbox sensor thing (no idea what it's called)...and wiggled it around and it started fine again.

I will not change my air filter again!!
