Hello
If were having problems with starting in the morning
you might have gas draining back into the tank causing a hard start.
or if you look at the throttle body there is a tps throttle potion censer if this is not getting a signal this too will cause a hard to start,
Is there a check engine light?

Sounds like a good possibility that this is your problem. I am not real familiar with this particular vehicle, but most modern EFI vehicles have the fuel pumps inside the tank and the fuel filter will be somewhere inside the frame, underneath between the tank and engine. One thing to try is to take off the fuel cap and with ignition off have someone listen while turning the key to the on position, but not starting for a whirring noise which only lasts a couple of seconds until the system is pressurized. Then even harder to hear, start the engine and listen for a constant whirring. If neither of these tests produce the desired effect then your fuel pump is probably bad and the tank has to come out. You can have a pressure test done to confirm.
