Frequency Programming Instructions:
Insert the ignition key and turn from position II (Ignition) to
position 0 (All off) and back four times within three seconds.
Remove
the ignition key. The locking control system is now in "learn
mode" for the next 20 seconds and the red warning system
LED (By the clock) stays on continuously to indicate this.
During
the 20 seconds press one of the transmitter buttons. The remotes
signal and code number is learned by the locking module and is
indicated by flashing the warning system LED.
Wait
until learn mode times out (20 seconds) or switch the ignition
back to ON.nfrared
Programming Instructions:
Put
your key into the ignition and turn to position 1 (Radio). After
approximately 10 seconds the red alarm control LED (next to the
clock) should illuminate. As soon as it comes on remove the key
from the ignition - the LED should remain lit.
Point
the remote's "eye" at one of the front door sensors
and press the rear button until the light on the transmitter illuminates
(Keep the button pressed)
With
the rear button held in press the front button 4 times then release
both at the same time. The control lights in both clock and fob
will flash 4 times to indicate programming complete.
Turn the ignition back on to exit programming mode

In a word....No. Each model/year/trim line use different key fobs over the years and are not compatible for inter-mingling. The vehicle won't accept it when you try to program it. The receivers use a compatible code system specific to that year/model. They can only read a certain number of codes. Anything out of it's code range list will not be read.
First thing, does the red light on the remote light up when you push any of the button
if no, then replace battery inside remote
if yes, then try repograming the remote to the car again.
-Have both remote ready. fob#1 and fob#2 (doesn't matter which one is #1 or #2)
-each step has to be done within 5 sec or it will not work, but don't do it super fast.
1.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
2.turn key off
3.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
4.turn key off
5.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
6turn key off
7.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 twice (if you only have one fob, then stop here and go to step 7)and push the "lock button" on fob#2 twice.
8.turn key off and remove key from ignition.
if you did it right, remotes should work again.
