Stuck in Lo Range 4WD. Suggestions?

My 2003 Z71 Suburban is stuck in Lo Range 4WD. I've tried to cycle it to Auto 4WD, Hi Range 4WD, 2WD, and even Nuetral, but nothing seems to let it kick back out of Lo Range. Any suggestions?

Try key in run position(without starting it) and try to shift it into 4wd high with the shift lever in neutral.

My 4wd was having issue going in and out of 4wd and sometimes it would get stuck in 4wd low and enter 4wd low on its own. I fixed this by changing the front differential fluid. I believe it was low and being low didn't allow the 4wd actuator to function properly.

1998 Chevy Suburban - service 4wd light comes on after running 4x4 for 2 mins

Well it could be the selector switch, but I doubt it.
Generally, the service light means something is not working that the computer controls. Solenoids and valves are a couple of possibilities.
The transfer case is shifted by solenoids commanded by the body computer based on the switch position on the dash.
You should be able to have a shop scan the body computer for trouble codes and proceed from there.
A basic code reader may not access the body computer.

Have 2005 chevy silverado stuck in 4wd-lo will not shift to 2wd all lights are out checked fuses are fine

If all the lights are out then the 4wd switch is bad but,if it won't come out of 4wd-low then the 4wd actuator is bad or stuck. The 4wd actuator is what engages the differential from 2wd to 4wd.HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

During the recent snow storm I used my 4wd. I'm trying to shift back to 2wd but it is stuck in 4WD LO

With the engine running, transmission in neutral, foot on brake, push the 2wd button. If it doesn't respond, try the same thing with the engine off, key on. If it's still in lo range, you may have to get under the truck and shift the linkage manually. While you are under there, check the electrical connections and vacuum lines.

2004 Chevy tahoe Z71 is stuck in 4wd low. When I press 2high it just flashes and stays in 4wd low. How do I get it out of 4wd low?

Try beginning with your car off. Start your car and put it in neutral with your foot on the brake. Then press any button besides 4-LO and 4-HI. This should take it out of 4-LO

Stuck in 4 Wheel Drive Gear 1989 Jeep Wrangler was stuck in sand. Shifted to 4 wheel drive and now cannot switch back to AWD. Any suggestions?

Assume that is stuck in 4wd, cannot shift back to 2wd. Have you tried shifting to 4wd/Lo and back? Try letting out on the clutch while slowly rolling?

Assume you are manual transmission?

1997 Suburban Transfer Case stuck in 4WD Lo

most likely needs an encoder motor. That is the fancy term for the motor that switches the t_case through the gears. The flashing lights indicate a code had been stored and you should have gotten it serviced then before further damage. as long as you dont drive it in 4 wheel you should still be ok

Suburban 4 hign does not work but 4 lo does

I have had maybe 9 Suburbans, over the years. Whenever I put in 4WD (whether Lo or Hi), I drive
normally. THEN, when DISENGAGING, I always drive the vehicle in REVERSE maybe 75 yards
AFTER placing in 2WD mode. Sometimes, still, on my '96 Suburban, --- even though the manual says NOT REQUIRED, it will "stick" in 4WD, UNLESS I take above action. Hope this might help.
