Thanks for the advice i checked the fuses and they seemed to be working alright, could the problem be coming from the steering colum as well? I am going to change all the fuses anyways just in case they arent running up to snuff.

Check fuses in power distribution center near battery and auto shutdown relay

  • Anonymous Apr 26, 2009

fuses are "pass/fail either blown or not. It could be the ignition switch (on top of the steering column) that is faulty, but lately I've seen more problems with the relay going bad. To test, use a volt meter and check volts in, volts out.on the switch, should be a red going in and a dark blue coming out (don't trust this though, my diagram lies to me all the time) Yellow wire should go to starter relay.

Jeep cherokee sport, engine wont start unless worm.

Check the temperature sensor...it tells the computer when it's cold, and changes fuel mixture accordingly. (same as a choke used to do)
Just curious...If it only starts warm, how do you get it warm???

95 jeep cherokee it wont stay running at red lights

Try a tank of supreme gas, plus a can of SEAFOAM in the gas tank. After running about a half of this tank out. Pull positive post off the battery for about 1-minute. This will reset computer, and it might clean up the fuel problems that you are having. If it keeps on, change the O2-sensor out and do the above steps again.

1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport Ignition Lights Come on but wont crank

Try putting the car in neutral and starting. If its a manual trans it might be the clutch pedal safety switch or it may be something as simple as a loose battery connection.
