SOURCE: drivers footwell full of water ( not flood damage )

check the drain tube outlet on the bottom of the car, that drains the AC. It could have become plugged. If that fails to clear up the problem, then you'll have to check the heater core... But you would be smelling coolant.

SOURCE: drivers footwell full of water ( not flood damage )

There are drains under the battery box and under the ECU module. When they plug with dirt, pine needles, whatever, the water fills up the space and backs into the vents or wherever it can leak through the firewall and usually ends up in the rear footwell, drivers side. If you don't get on it and maintain those drain holes, it will start to take out the electrical. Gets very expensive for a simple design flaw. The carpet has to come up and thoroughly dried as well. Not much fun and a lot of work.

Torque settings on a fiat uno 1100 engine

Answer barbo(fiat mechanic) Fiat do not issue torque settings for a punto they use angles so that you can snap your stretch bolts! after contacting fiat and haynes neither of them would give proper torque settings, so i delved into my many tech manuals on fiat fire engines which is what is in your punto and i have successfully changed many fiat punto head gaskets using the following torque settings: stage 1 starting from the centre head bolts tighten to 33nm: stage 2:65nm and finally stage 3: 96nm these torque settings work fine and will probably save you buying new head bolts.

What is the best way to remove the water pump?

To remove the water pump of Fiat Punto/Stilo:
1 Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2 Drain the cooling system.
3 Remove the timing belt.
4 Unscrew the retaining nut and the three bolts and withdraw the coolant pump (see illustration). If the pump is stuck, tap it gently? using a soft-faced mallet - do not lever between the pump and cylinder block mating faces of Fiat Punto (Stilo). best-way-remove-water-pump-x4hf4jmz40to2ykgevxwzmql-3-0.jpg
