Saturn Vue has two different gas caps. One is for the tank filler tube with a metal flapper and the other is for the tank filler with a plastic flapper. AC Delco is the only place I found that had the difference listed in their parts description.

PO455 is a large evaporative fuel leak. A bad fuel cap is ONE of the things that COULD be the problem. Fuel system cleaning only lightened your wallet. Reading your post is confusing. Did all this start AFTER the Valvoline Wallet Flushing? If so , they left something loose or disconnected. I would find a qualified repair shop to fix the problem, and if it has anything to do with what Valvoline did, make them pay the bill.

Hi.
At Autozone they read the OBDII codes stored in the main computer. Errors triggered by parts such as the BCM (body control module), or the security system do not get read with a generic OBDII scanner like the one used at Autozone.
You need to go to a GM dealer. They will read the codes using a Tech 2 scan tool that can pull out codes from the several different modules that can trigger the service engine soon light. The service is usually billed half hour labor.
Before visiting the dealer you can check battery voltage (12.5 off - 13.5 engine on) and fuses. There are problems like low voltage from battery or some fuse that cause the light coming on and do not store any code in any of the modules.
Note: the service engine soon light can often be reset by disconnecting battery. If the light is on, then there are codes stored somewhere. I recommend visiting the nearest GM dealer and finding out what is wrong.

2carpros has this to say about Po442
A code P0442 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
•A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
•A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
•A small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube
•Other small leak in EVAP system
•Faulty vent o-ring seal
Possible Solutions With a P0442, the most common repair is to:
•Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
•Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or
•Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses
