Engine overheating? Try this procedure:
Fan was running fast and leaking antifreeze in my garage. Replaced thermostat which fixed the fan, but I'm still leaking antifreeze. It's smaller amounts, but still leaking. Someone said to replace the radiator cap. Any thoughts?
If the thermostat is placed in bakward it will overheat....and there is a small ball on the the top of the thermostat that helps the car bleed air...if the thermostat was placed in without that little ball on the top...the car has a hard time releasing air to bleed...id have the thermostat replaced again anyway just to make sure its not a faulty one..ok...hope that helps
There is a coolant cap on the overflow bottle check it for seal
i'd just replace it
also if you put the new thermostat in backward the overheating would be significant
