Under hood fuse box. There will be a parking light fuse that will be for the outside and inside lights

Testimonial: "Inside lights are seperate. But I do see an empty spot where "Park LP" relay would be. I can assume that is probably it."

  • Benny Oct 03, 2013

SOURCE: Dashboard and tail lights out on 97" Nissan Sentra

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

SOURCE: 2000 Saturn sl2 tail lights

If the 2000 Saturn SL2 is the same as the '99 SL2, then your tail lights bulb is the same bulb as your break light bulb. Now they are dual bulbs, just like your head lights. So just the same way that your brights can work, but your headlight lamp be out, or vice versa, is the same with your break lights. So replace both bulbs and you should be good to go. I just had to replace both mine, one was a tail light out, and the other's break light was out, either way, same bulb. Also, check your manual for the light, or take the light out when you go in to get new ones. I found that for some reason there is some confusion on the bulb in this make in model.

SOURCE: 97 CAMRY TAIL LIGHTS PROBLEM

You are right you do have a short, but it's easy to fix at the same time it is expensive. In your trunk area you will find a bulb out relay it can be either in the right corner or left corner panel in the trunk area,if not there if may be under the rear deck of the trunk(under the rear window inside the trunk) It might be yellow brown or green. One fron the junk yard will work just as good as a new one.If you are skillful you can open it and solder the burned circuit, but you have to know what you are doing. You also neet to find out if you had a bad bulb that shorted so you can rest knowing that what caused it to burn out in the frist place is fixed.

If the brake lights come on with the taillights, its probably a short in one of the tail lamp sockets.

Why the brake light works and tail light don't work Chevrolet avalanche 2003

they are dual filament bulbs so the tail light filament might have blown and not the stop light , replace the bulb to check

I have a Mercedes E420 1997. I am having tail light issues, all the lights work turn sig., brake, back up, but no tail lights. I have changed out both rear tail lights, bulbs, and checked all of the fuses....

Check for power with a test light(not a dvom) at the tail lamp assembly. Test right at the spot where the bulb socket sits. If you have power then i would check the connection tab on the bulb socket itself for pits or corroded tabs. If you do not have power present at test point then double check the fuse chart and see if it says 'electronic' instead of having a fuse amp rating for the tail lamps. If it says electronic for any of the light circuits then it means their is no external fuse that can be replaced and the problem is most likely internal of the headlight switch. Since the headlight switch is actually a power source for the lights. I would start there at this point. Let me know what you find and if you need anything else just let me know

Tail lights stopped working (keeps blowing fuse)

you could either have a front marker/signal lamp w/lamp grounded and causing this,remember...when tail lights are on so are your frt parking/marker lights on also..... other than that you could have a feed wire worn thru and grounding out to the frame
