My 1994 jeep has anti teft device that is killing my battery, like its shrted out. when i connect the battery it sparks and i hear the click under or inside glove box. where is it so i may disconnect it to see if that will solve the dead battery situation.
If you activate the anti theft on the jeep because of no remote, you have to lock and unlock the passenger side door twice to disarm it.
it is not easy to bypass the anti theft module.a place that installs alarms would be the best bet.get an after market alarm put in for about the cost of a couple remotes.or if you buy a used remote,it can be re programmed using the obd2 diagnostic unit.

I have the same problem its something to do with the locks I dont have the remote just a key copy It seems if I turn the door lock rite then left theres no problem however if I forget it sets the anti theft device in motion and I cant drive it for days I disconnect the battery and for a few days and that time It started up again but now it doesnt Im, hearing the same ticking pulled the #3 fuse for hazard didnt hear the ticking anymore but still wont start need help to disarm?????????
You don't have to leave the battery disconnected for days. What you need to do is go to the fuse box underneath the hood. There is a fuse that says Iso harness or something like that. Remove that fuse and put it back on. That should reset the alarm. I have the same issue with the alarm and if you can figuer out how to disarm it. Please let me knw.
