if the error/problem was fixed then system will reset on its own(after key is cycled a few times)it can also be reset at autozone with a scanner for free good luck
Ummmm, i'm not sure what you are asking with the last part of your question, but diag tool/readers can read error codes from your car's computer and you can translate those codes using known code databases. No code generally means no problem. You can buy diag tools online or even rent them from autozone. I think that's what you were asking about at least... good luck!
Unplug the negative battery, wait few minutes and re-pluged. THis reset the ECU store codes. If the check code turn on again, I suggest scaning OBD codes (autozone) for knowed exactly what fault is there.
