SOURCE: high fuel consumption
Clean the MAF sensor and IAT sensor with MAF sensor cleaner. Spray the the cleaner as directed, let dry then reinstall. Turn the ignition key's to the run position (engine not running) for 30 seconds then turn off for 5 seconds, Then start the engine let idle for 1 min and go for a test drive to reset the sensors. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.

SOURCE: Replace Fuel Filter on 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback
If the fuel filter is mounted inside the fuel tank at the pump it does not need replacing and is a permanent filter. All you have to do it follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. If the filter is mounted in the fuel line you will find it.

May be a head gasket. Anti-freeze will burn white / gray. Make sure you are not losing coolant. Look at your oil on the dip for any signs of foaming / water.
Take care.
