Did you also change the filter as well as the oil, and have the system flushed?

If not, do so.

HI I HAVE A 2002 SATURN L300 AND I HAD AN OIL CHANGE TO STOP THE WRENCH LIGHT FROM COMING ON AND ITS STILL ON WHY IS THAT? I THOUGHT THE WRENCH LIGHT WAS ONLY FOR MAINTENCE. THANK YOU

If you reset the monitor when you had the oil changed, and that light is for oil change due, the light should have stayed off.
Usually the wrench warning light is a service vehicle warning, not for oil change is due.
Your owners manual should explain each warning light.
You may have to get the body computer checked out by a shop or the dealer.

Maintanence required light stays on 61200 miles on vehicle. How do I shut it off? Not due an oil change at this time.

the sensor for that goes by the consistency of the oil and how its been driven, not by mileage. Change the oil!!

Main reop light in dash

Hello, and welcome to FixYa.

The 'Maint Reqd' light indicates that you are due for an oil change. It will blink 4,500 miles since the light was reset at your last oil change, and stay on steady after 5,000 miles.

If you recently had an oil change, all you need to do is reset your maintenance reqd lamp. The procedure is here on this site inthe 'tips and tricks' section, and it is also in your owner's manual.

The oil light came on today when i started my 2003 xterra

The oil light comes on when there is no pressure. There is no pressure when the pump either cannot get oil to pump or has oil and will not pump it.

Get it checked before you do anything else. A engine running with no pressure is a cooked engine.

My change oil light came on 2 months ago now my check engine light came on today.is it because I have not changed the oil yet?

Why havent you changed the oil?? going past that recommendation is not helping the engine, plus you need to use only a GM approved oil, usually synthetic. The CK Eng light has nothing to do with oil.

My maintenance required light changed from green (slowly) to red. i am a few hundred miles overdue for an oil change, which i'm doing today- how do I reset that light? I believe the oil change factor is...

I believe that there is a small slot, perhaps under the maintenance light, but somewhere on the speedometer, that allows you to put your ignition key into it and press in order to reset the light.

Service engine light staying on

Hello tdamm...No...the service engine soon (SES) light on your yukon is not telling you to change the oil.
This is a warning light that is illuminated when there is a problem affecting the Emission system and the engines computer management (ECM) has detected it from a fault. It could be something as simple as a loose or defective gas cap. If the SES light is blinking, it's more serious....
The yukon needs to be connected to diagnostic equipment (scanner) for fault diagnosis.
You can go to autozone they will hook up an OBD II scanner to your vehicle and explain the codes to you.
Good luck...i hope this helps and will fixya up.

I did not use my 2002 saturn sl2 for 2 weeks because I was out of state, when I came to use it it would not start, I had to "floor" the gas pedal until it started, then the service engine soon light came...

Well most likey you may have a Coolant Temp Sensor concern causing it to flood but it could also be from sitting as well. The SES probally come on due to it running a bit rough after starting & set a Misfire code. The Oil Change Light Is easy to re-set.Turn Ignition on but do not start, open hood, remove underhood fuse box cover hold down the red oil-r button for 5-8 secs.then check oil change soon lamp, should be flashing.Turn Ignition off & it's reset

Oil light want go off car want stay started

There is a way to reset it. Call the dealership or look in your owners manual for the help. But, I know the owners manual has the fix. You have a digital screen where it says oil change due? Or at 80%?
