1995 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited, 5.2 liter. Will not crank when ignition switch is turned to starting position. All warning light and such come on when switch is turned on but when turned to the start position, nothing happens. I bypassed the starter switch with a manual switch and it will start when I put switch into run position and push manual switch. Now the #11, 15 amp fuse in Power Distribution Center fuse box keeps blowing and therefore will not start.

The problem is likely your neutral switch on the side of the tranny. Wires may have melted and shorted to ground or switch itself may have terminal shorted to ground.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee seat belt light does not go out.

Hi,
First of all, I take it you are using your seatbelt.
There is a small micro switch in the bottom of the seatbelt plug.
Check that it`s still in place. It`s only a contact breaker switch.
You could unwire it to stop the annoying light, but will need to fix it for the next MOT

SOURCE: 1995 jeep grand cherokee wont start

IF THE FUSE BLOWS IMMEDIATELY, THE VEHICLE HAS A SHORT IN THAT CIRCUIT. CAR WON'T RUN WITH A SHORTED ECM. CHECK THE WIRING FIRST FOR A BARE OR PINCHED WIRE.

SOURCE: My 98 jeep grand cherokee wont start.

fuse 8 40a supplies power to starter relay and ignition switch, to close the starter solenoid and engage the starter which draws directly from the battery. check to see that the starter relay is closing, if not ensure that the park neutral switch is not faulty (open circuit), it provides path to close relay (ground side) on the 85 - 86 terminals. if the starter relay does not close the starter will not run. if you have a spare relay swap out the relay for a quick fix attempt. hope this helps

How do I know if my ignition switch is bad on my 1995 jeep grand cherokee lerado 5.2 liter

The ignition switch does not usually go bad on Grand Cherokees but the ignition key cylinder does and it usually just stop turning, stuck in place. Key cylinder can be removed by taking the steering wheel off to access the little clip that's holding the key cylinder in place, inside the steering column.

My 1995 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 will just shut off when i am driving. have to put it in nutral to start it some times. doesnt always start.

You have a possible fuel or crank position sensor problem, or the ignition switch is going bad. You need to do some testing before replacing anything...parts are not cheap so make sure you are replacing the correct ones. If you need to select neutral to start at a standstill, the neutral safety switch may also be bad, but that shouldn't turn it off after it's started.

CANT FIND CRANK SENSOR

The sensor is mounted in a fixed position in the engine block. The tip of the sensor protrudes into the crankcase at a distance of 0.05 plus or minus 0.02 inch from the crankshaft.

After i start my 95 jeep grand cherokee limited

crank or camshaft sensor will cause this, a bad crank sensor will cause it not to start or start hard. it controls timing and sends info to pcm for proper fuel mixture and spark at the right time.
