SOURCE: How to change a 2000 ford explorer bypass hose?

You have to remove the tensioner assembly, not just the tensioner pulley, but the whole assembly, in order to access the plastic bypass hose.
Be very careful, as these pipes get old, the plastic becomes brittle, and possibly the flange end will break off and remain in the block when you remove the pipe, check the block opening carefully to remove all of the remaining flange.
Also, be very careful when removing the lover pipe nipple into the engine block, if you try to pry the tensioner assembly off the block, you will probably snap off the machined nipple that locates into the block, Ask me how I know!!! Good Luck, it can be done but you need to move carefully and deliberately. (by the way, a rebuilt tensioner assembly costs about $80 US, the pipe is about $6. New tensioner assembly comes with the pipe)

SOURCE: what are the three hoses

The metal tubes that come out of the water pump are not replaceable independent of the water pump. you have to have a new pump.

Testimonial: "thanks so if i get a new water pump will the metal hose stop leaking?"

I have a coolant leak on a 2001 Malibu with a 3.1 engine that is leaking behind water pump. It is not the pump as I have replaced it. New radiator replaced the old one which was leaking. I have checked all...

If it was a freeze plug, it would keep leaking with the engine off. You are going to have to move stuff around, is there a hose outlet down there? Some GM engines had a plastic fitting screwed into the block for a bypass hose fitting. I found one that had broken off flush with the block.
It might help if you register for free at autozone.com. You can list your vehicle information, then look for anything to do with the coolant system. A Haynes manual would almost certainly have a good description. + Good luck.

I have a 1988 Lincoln Towncar. I am replacing the water pump, thermostat and associated hoses. It looks like the previous owner or someone before me replaced hoses at some point. However it looks like...

The bypass hose is usually different sizes on each end.
And the other small hose is usually a heater hose. It may go to the heater core, a control valve, or a metal pipe from the intake.
On some models the second tube is capped.

How do you replace the water pump bypass hose on a 2001 dodge durango 5.9ltr?

I,m assuming you mean the metal part of the bypass hose. Looking at water pump drivers side is a small metal tube hooked to heater hose. The tube is bolted through a alum bracket. Remove bolt and pull tube out. May need to spray with penetrating oil as these corrode, and are stubborn Make sure vehicle is not hot. No need to drain coolant as it will come out of bypass hole. have drain bucket ready. Do not reuse o- ring as it will leak.

1987 HONDA ACCORD LX WATER LEAK

Yes, there is a "bypass outlet" coolant hose that connects from the water pump inlet pipe (metal pipe that runs from back of water pump along engine block to lower radiator hose) to the intake manifold.

I am not sure about the "black box" - not enough detail.
