I have a 96 plymonth breeze 5 speed. and my battery light came on yesterday, while i was driving and the car started kinda surging. I go to drive it today and my lights are dim radio wont stay on. While i was driving it died, i jumped it put it in gear car died again. I would go to start it and nothing. lights radio and power windows worked but were very dim and slow. Tried jumping once more and nothing not even lights or windows worked. Question is, is it my battery or alternantor?

Make sure the accessorie belt is still good and the belt is not loose or slipping.
It does sound as though the alternator is not functioning. Once the charging system is working again, have the battery checked, a bad battery will ruin an alternator.

My 96 breeze that just got a new starter and still won't start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Replaced speed senser on 1996 plymonth breaze speed omiter still wont work and car will not shift out of low gear

There are 2 Speed Sensors on that car. One is accessed from the front of the engine and one is accessed by removing the front driver's side wheel and then the access pannel in the wheel well.

98 plymonth breeze has the ''check engine'' light on all the time!

Turn the key on, off, on, off, on, off, on and the codes for the check engine light should come up where the odometer usually reads.

While driving at highway speed, car stalled

You could try to bypass the ignition by turning your key forward and crossing the terminals on the starter. If it starts the ignition is bad if not the starter is

3.1 engine 96 misfires trough driving speeds and idle

i had a 94 that ran into problems like that with very rough idles and misses. i get about five different codes from injectors to oxygen sensor. turned out my negative wire from the battery was so corroded inside the insulation it was causing all sorts of problems. bought new cable and ends from canadian tire $40.00 and installed (had to clean the connection to the block with sand paper) but fixed all my problems after that.

cheers

Have a 96 camry 4 cyl auto. After highway driving, the idle becomes rough and wants to stall. The problem eventually goes away after driving a city speeds. Around town, it runs all day just fine. Help ,...

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
