95 Audi Cabriolet-Can't get key fob to work/program

first change the battery in key key fob.


or need reprogramming of the key

remove battery from fob key and replace. also while you are in there gently clean battery contacts with a pencil eraser. start vehicle with key turn in ignition and your fob key should be GTG.

You must have the dealership program the new remote.

unlock the car with the key and hold the key over for 30 secs,(the windows will go down) then lock the car/hold key over for 30 secs,(the windows will go up). wait 30 secs then press/hold down the unlock button on the key fob,this will resyncronise the alarm/key fobs.

replace batteries in remotes,then with key unlock car/hold key over windows go down,wait 20 secs,then lock/hold key over,windows go up,wait 20secs, then using remote press/hold down the unlock button for 30 secs.you have just reset the alarm/immobiliser.if remotes/keys dont work after this,then take it to a dealer for a computer/key reset.

unlock car with key/hold over for 30 secs,then lock/hold key over for 30 secs,then press remote unlock button for 30 secs,the car is now reset.

Synchronization
When
Key buttons operated repeatedly while vehicle out of range and system becomes inoperative. Key batteries replaced.
How - early models
Depress lock or unlock button. Manually lock and unlock driver's door within 30 seconds. System should operate normally after approximately 1 minute. If not, carry out programming procedure.
How - late models
If vehicle locked, manually unlock driver's door using key. Press key unlock button once. Switch ignition ON and OFF. Remove key from ignition switch. Press key lock or unlock button once. System should now operate correctly.

Try a fresh battery in the fob - make sure that you have it inserted with the correct polarity

need to program key fob to car and program windows...see owners manuel... if cant find ..i can help

Inspect the key fob for a place to open it and check for a battery.
