Here are some general torque specifications for the 1997 Ford Festiva's engine and suspension components. However, please note that these specs can vary based on the specific model and engine type. It's always best to refer to your vehicle's repair manual for precise information:
**Engine Torque Specs (in foot-pounds):** - Cylinder Head Bolts: 35-50 ft-lbs - Exhaust Manifold Bolts: 13-16 ft-lbs - Intake Manifold Bolts: 18-24 ft-lbs - Main Bearing Cap Bolts: 51-61 ft-lbs - Rod Bearing Cap Bolts: 23-27 ft-lbs - Flywheel Bolts (Manual Transmission): 58-73 ft-lbs - Flywheel Bolts (Automatic Transmission): 61-76 ft-lbs
**Suspension Torque Specs (in foot-pounds):** - Ball Joint Nut: 30-40 ft-lbs - Control Arm Bolts: 60-80 ft-lbs - Shock Absorber Upper Mount Nuts: 14-21 ft-lbs - Shock Absorber Lower Mount Bolt: 40-55 ft-lbs
Remember that these values are approximate and can vary based on the specific model and any modifications made to the vehicle. Always refer to your vehicle's repair manual or consult a professional mechanic for accurate torque specifications to ensure proper installation and safety.
No make and model, but guessing a Ford of some type. All questions must have 'year make model' as the first three words.
This isn't an item where torque is important. It is basically a threaded plug. You tighten it enough to squeeze the gasket tight, nothing more. 13 foot pounds is about right if you really feel the need to use a torque wrench.
