I need to find the fuse for my towing lights

The owners manual states 'do not plug accessories into the cig. lighter.' They are only to be plugged into the 'power point' outlets. This is probably why the fuse blew, it can't handle accessories. You need to replace fuse #41 with a 20 amp fuse. This fuse also controls the OBDII diagnostic port, so until it's replaced, you won't be able to scan for check engine codes. If you need a replacement manual, you can download one for free at the official Ford site.

most fuse box covers has underneath them the covers the fuse diagrams in them but also if you have a manual for your car that it should show you there as well. You can go to autozone to buy real cheap the manual that shows all your fuses to the car.

www.edmonds.com for owner manuals online I also have a 2000 expedition and it is normally one of the coil packs is out if you have an autozone near you they will put it on the tester for free and that way you will know what is wrong and if it is the coil pack if you are standing in front of the truck looking at the engine this is how the cylinder location is on the passanger side back to the back of the engine is one thru four and on driverside is five thru eight so when they tell you which coil pack is bad you will know which one to replace and you can get just the boot and a new spring and replace that for around $6 to $8 then replacing the whole thing for around $65. try www.autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you
