Have no running lights on trailer.hooked tester on ground lead and running light lead on trailer hook up on my envoy and not getting anything. brake and signals working fine. Is there a fuse on the envoy for the trailer running lights?
I have a ford pickup, 92, with factory 7 plug harness,, and under the hood, their is another fuse box, and their is little fuses, and they control blinker, tail lights, brake lights, in the owners manual their will be a diagram, with what fuse is for what, hope this helps, took me 6 hours to figure mine out, changed 2 fuses and done
I ran into the same problem. All the signals, brake and hazards work but ther tail running lights do not. As I was hooking up my side markers the hot wire hit the ground causing a small spark. I took my meter and traced everything. The trailer 30 amp fuse in my fuse panel under the hood is NOT blown but I have no power to that fuse location itself?? Is there another fuse elsewhere?
It sounds like your have may have your brake light and running lights crossed on your wiring harness to the trailer. Good luck and hope this help's
