At first my water pump went, so we replaced that. Then we noticed that oil was leaking into my antifreeze so we replaced that head gasket. I flushed my cooling system several times, and I am still getting oil into my antifreeze. When I open the cooling resivour it's a tannish color with the consistency of a milkshake. I have been told it could be a cracked head, or block. Was hoping someone could give me another opinon on what the problem could be
We just went through the same thing on our 1997 SC1, replaced the head gasket and the oil in the coolant issue persisted.
Pulled a cylinder head out of a 1995 wagon and put it in, the problem has cleared up after a LOT of flushing with powered automatic dishwasher machine detergent and water. We also replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat and water pump once the flushings were complete.
