Fuel pump relay location 1990 chevy subburn

The fuel pump relay should be under the hood on the firewall, square with a 3 in it. Hope you can read it?

1999 Chevy Suburban with no fuel pressure. The following is covered in this video: 1. How to test a fuel pump relay in a power distribution box.

Can't say for sure don't have that manaul but look inside the glove box for a plastic cover it will say relays .The 1st is the fuel pump 2nd I belive would be the horn 3rd would be the fog lights .They are all the same and can be swooped out for each other to test them .

there IS NO dedicated fuel pump fuse. like 1991 to present
but uses the same fuse as ECU and SPARK

btw the car does NOT run the pump key on, until 1991+.
so, you must crank it and check pump voltage !!!
same as 1996 J18 sport engine. (tricky rules no? and i know them)

that relay will break the bank, so learn to tests first.
and how. ask. can do. done many, of these.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump relay, the relay sounds like it is stuck on.

This is listed as a 1990 4.0 xj, but what model, is this a jeep or a jaguar?

In either case check the relay, remove it and see if pump stops. i will see if i can list the location of the relay on both cars............... Okay the jaguar 1990 did not come with a 4.0 so i will assume its a jeep we are talking about, the fuelpump relay is located on the right fender well on the relay block, here is a diagram of it and relay lay out. hope this is the correct vehicle . let me know if this is correct. good day.

The Feol pump/circuit opening relay is located inside the cab on a relay block either behind the glove bosx or the right kick panel, I'll see if I can locate a location diagram and post it in a follow up. In the meantime locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood,it's located near the right fender on a fuse block, open the cover and put a jumper wire between the terminals FP and B+, turn the key on and let me know if this makes the fuel pump run.

Check the voltage with someone cranking the engine. The fuel pump relay is incorperated in the FI relay located under right center of dash. It is a metal relay usually bolted to the floor near the ecm. Double check all the fuses inside and out

The fuse box is located low on the left side of the dashboard behind a cover, or at the left side kick panel, behind a cover.

Relay Box -is located under the left side of the dash as well.

check the fuse .if the fuel pump was bad you blew the fuse . there is a inertia switch in the trunk or under the dash you could check . push the red button to reset relay should be under the hood in the fuse box check your book if you have one.
