According to the Haynes manual it is under the intake manifold, Upper and lower intake manifolds must be removed for access. If you go to Auto Zone, they have the sensor and can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the knock sensor with common tools. Good luck and hope this help.

It is under the lower intake manifold in the valley of the engine. You must remove the cross over coolant tube to gain access to the knock sensor. It bolts into the cylinder head. Good luck

SOURCE: COMPUTER SAID TO REPLACE KNOCK
blessdwth3, Your knock sensor is a round unit that is about an inch and a half in diameter and is usually located on the back side of the engine block, usually near the middle. Just unscrew it to replace it and put wire back on. The speed sensor is usually located on the transmission on the long side extending to the right side of the vehicle. Take out the hold down and pull straight out, a little twisting motion will help with this. Put in new sensor and hold down bolt and replace wire. If you have a code reader then use this to clear the codes. If not, remove the negative battery wire (black wire) for about a minute and this will erase the codes.
