SOURCE: coolant level sensor bad warning comes on console

Coolant sensor wiring would be the next place to look. Make sure connector is good, and look for broken wires.

Electronic display says coolant sensor bad. I replaced the sensor located in the recovery bottle, but it still reads bad?

Good Evening, I can certainly understand your problem, I fought with a 97 grand cherokee with the same problem, at the end of all the troubleshooting it ended up being the information display module. Certainly it is something to consider, especially changing the sensor a couple times to be sure. Hope this helps, If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Coolant sensor keeps saying bad would that cause it to over heat jeep laredo 97 grand cherokee

Yes, cause that sensor operates the electric cooling fans by the radiator, if those fans or fan don't come on, the radiator can't cool down as quick and causes the engine to run hotter.

Location of coolant sensor for 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8

in the 5.2L V8 engine the coolant sensor is located on top of the engine. Locate the coolant thick hose coming from top of the ratiator to the top of the engine. Look at the place such hose connects to the engine you wont miss the sensor it is about one inch from there.

"coolant sensor bad" warning comes on all the time.

The jeep should have 2 coolant sensors, one guage sensor and one switch. Try replacing the other one that you haven't already replaced.
