I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my remote to unlock my doors has went on the blink. So now I have to do a reset from the battery and unhook the security fuse from under the steering column to reset. Then it starts up, i want to know how do i disable the alarm completely so i want have this problem anymore please help?

The security alarm and engine immobilizer are functions of the Body Control Module (BCM) and the ECM. You can't just pull fuses. When the battery goes completely flat, or is disconnected, you just need to reset the Security System which is done via the Remote Fob.

When you remove the vehicle battery, or the fob battery, you have to reset the security system and engine immobilizer.

did you ask your dealer for help, if not why not?

I can only suggest: 1: first replace both remotes batteries.
2: disconect the battery in the vehicle and then reconnect:
3: reprogramme the remotes following the insructions in the manual.

Try turning the key..unlock-lock-unlock in the rear tailgate lock. That should turn off the factory security system.
If it's an aftermarket alarm system, you will need an alarm installer's help in determining what type and model alarm it is, before you can figure out how to shut it off.

go to autozone and use the remote tester on the counter to make sure that the remote itself is functioning or not, could be a dead battery. On some vehicles it is possible to reset the keyless entry by turning the ignition switch from off to run (right before the starter activates) 3 times or so, if you try this and the door locks activate then press the lock button on your remotes. good luck

sometimes you have to hold the lock and unlock at the same time and stand close to your jeep until the locks unlock and lock agian if that works then they are reset if not than try to change the batterys in one remote and retry

did you try calling a dealer sometimes they are the only ones that can reprogrm these things
