Check fuse and relay as mentions in the link. Also the BCM is involved with climate control in which case you will need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.
Have the refrigerant charge tested and also check the owner's manual, the fuse is for the compressor clutch relay. The fuse and relay for the compressor is under the hood.
Your fuse box is on the drivers side dash. You can see the cover for it if you open the door. The fuse you need is in the number 12 cavity. it is a blue 15 amp fuse. Just pull it out see if it is good, if it is bad, replace. If it is blown you may have other problems as there was a reason it blew. your brakes light switch may be bad but check the fuse first.
