I have a 93 saturn sc2 coupe and my gas gauge isn't reading it's set to empty. could there be an easy fix or do i need to replace the fuel system.. my email is [email protected]

Check to see it th chain guides are worn. this can cause a retarded or advance on timing. Also do a compression check if you can, this will show that the valves are opening and closing on time. Run some injection cleaner through it first as a sticky injector could also be an issue.

the sensor for the coolant level should be attached right to the overflow tank... there should be a harness with wires coming out of the tank

If the transmission is not hurt, it may just be a simple fix by replacing the reverse solenoid. The bad news is that it's in the valve body in the transmission, if there is an Auto Zone around your area, have them scan the cart for any DTC codes and hope that there is a code in the history that relates to the transmission issue. Auto Zone scan free of charge and if there is a transmission code, that would help address the transmission issue and if it's just a reverse solenoid. That's good news, since it cost just a little more then a transmission oil and filter change. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again soon.

First, if you have access to a scan tool, check the reading of the coolant
sensor. Does it read a logical number? If so, the problem is likely intermittent.
Perform a "wiggle" test by wiggling the connector and harness to the
sensor while watching the reading on the scan tool. Watch for any drop-outs.
Drop-outs would indicate a bad connection. If the scan tool reads an illogical
temperature, check the resistance of the temperature sensor. If it is out of
specs, replace it. If it is in specifications, unplug the sensor and, using
a fused jumper wire, jumper the two terminals of the connector together. The
temperature reading should now be maxed out to above 250 degrees F. If not,
there is likely a problem with the ground circuit or voltage supply.
Check for 5 volts reference voltage at the connector. Also check for ground
presence at the connector. If you do not have 5V ref. and/or ground continuity,
check for these back at the PCM connector. If you have these at the PCM connector,
then repair open or short between the PCM and the sensor. If you do not, remove
the offending wire from the PCM and then check for proper voltage at the PCM
pin. If it's present now, repair short on the circuit. If it isn't present after
removing the wire and checking the pin, replace PCM

the float assembly is part of the fuel pump assembly and is in the tank. the fuel tank will need to be dropped and call your local dealer to see if they sell the float seperately or as a fuel pump/level sensor assembly.
