Had headlight replaced-not at a shop- & everything went haywire: trunk pops open when lights turned on, windows won't go down, and door locks will not function. The sky light, radio, and a/c are all working. Suggestions? Which fuse?? Where?

Hi Rachel . It sounds like the plug on the drivers window motor (Which is also the ecu for that door) has come off or is loose . This will stop the cdl working as well . Regards VW Audi tech

Same problem with an '03 Golf--remote entry, power windows, and interior lights stopped working. This was easily fixed by replacing fuse #14, (10 amp), located in the driver's side fuse block.

the remote switch you are looking for is the fuel door switch that controls all these items trunk,unlock fuel tank door. this unit has to be replaced as a whole unit but check all your fuses first on driver side dash where door touches dash left side open door look for a triangle shape panel pop it open and check (ALL) fuses and especially #17 brown 7.5 amp fuse top right of fuse block.
