My camry has an issue going into overdrive. The overdrive off light stays on no matter if I press the button or not, although it is brighter when I turn the overdrive off. Long story short, when that light is on It wont shift into 4th gear. The engine temperature is good, do I have a faulty shift solenoid or some other sensor? What could it be? Thanks in advance?

bad news...sounds like the valve body is going bad in your tranny. i had the same problem and had to drive in reverse on the side of the high way 34 miles.....that my friend..sucked!!
SOURCE: how to use the overdrive on the auto.transmission.
the overdrive button on your automatic transmission is for cruising on the highway basically like having another gear for better economy careful not to use it when your not on the highway because lugging the car in overdrive when its not needed will cause higher fuel consumption other than that you should have no problems just get out on the highway and push and away you go
SOURCE: Won't shift onto overdrive until engine warms up.
That's actually a feature, not a problem. The emissions control system will not let it go into OD until it's warmed up.
If your truck warms up in a normal amount of time, then you're all set.
Last year, my 4Runner started taking too long to warm up, so it wouldn't go into OD for a long time. In my case, it was that the thermostat was stuck open, so coolant was flowing freely even when the engine was still cold. Replacing the thermostat was quick and easy, and it's good as new again.
