I have a 1998 saturn sl2 with a loctaonics anti theft chip under the dash below the steering wheel. I put an after market cd player in it and now it wont start. I pulled the anti theft chip out and disconnected the battery before installing the cd player. I used the correct connectors n all and no blown fues but now after hooking the battery back up and reinstalling the loctaonics anti theft chip the car wont start. I turn the but nothing happens just the lights like when its on accessory. Any ideas?

Let me explain something about your car.
2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.
If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

you can reset the system by turning key to on position for 5-10 mins and then try starting it but its probably a short or grounding prob try the engine to chassis ground

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.

leave the key on for about 5 to10 min then try to start. Are reset to computer by leaving the key on for 10 min and try to start the vehical.Do this procese 3 time then it shold reset

Hi what is happening is that your turn off your car and left the wheels turned to one side and specially if your car is parke in a hill what you have to do is to force the steering wheel to the same direction of your wheels this will free up the ignition switch it is going to be hard let me tell you but it will work and this is why your shift don't work once you have the ignition switch free then your shift will work again
