different vehicle but steps r similar
Hello -
Your local public library system (in the U.S.) probably subscribes to databases of automobile repair manuals, which will include a repair manual for a 2007 Dodge Nitro.
To access the library system's databases you will need a valid library borrower card. If you do not yet have one (free - and, your taxpayer dollars at work), you will have to visit your local public library branch and apply for and receive a borrower card there. While you are at the library, you can talk with a reference/information librarian who can explain how to access the auto repair manual database(s) through the library web pages.
If you already have a valid library borrower card, go to the public library system home page. If you don't know the web address, you can find it using your favorite search engine, entering the following search strategy, using quotation marks as indicated:
"Your City Name, State" "public library" . Example: "Upper Sandusky, Ohio" "public library" .
Go to the library system home page, log into your borrower account, and go to the link for Research or Databases. The library system may subscribe to more than one auto repair database: Auto Repair Reference Center [EBSCO] and / or Chilton Library (Chilton auto repair manuals). Choose a manual database and follow the on-screen instructions to find the repair information you need. You should be able to print the instructions, with diagrams and images, which you need.
If you need help with a database and finding what you need, you can telephone your local public library (during the days and hours the library is open for service) and a reference/information librarian can talk you through the steps you need to follow.
SOURCE: 2007 Dodge Nitro Tail Light Replacement
look at the car manual under maintenance and then rear light bulb replacement. First take out the two hole covers using a flat head to loosen then wiggle and turn by hand to get out. Pull the light unit straight back, and unplug the electrical. Don't break anything.
Then use a star driver (check your misc socket set drivers for the right size). Unscrew the two star head screws and pull this bulb holder straight off the tail light (same direction as screws). Replace the bulb and put back together in reverse.
SOURCE: Where is the fuse for rear brake lights on 2007
In the fuse box, under the hood on the drivers side. There is a detailed map of what fuses do what on the inside of the box cover.
SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Durango front heater blower problem
The front and rear are two different systems-if the rear works or doesn't -your front still should. Your problem is the blower motor resistor and yes you can do this yourself. Remove the glovebox door and the resistor will be fastened to the heater/ac box with 2 screws and a harness plugged into it. It is a dealer only part, but they are under $30. Hope this helps you. Will probably take about 10mins to change,
SOURCE: 2000 Dodge Caravan PCM replacement
2001 Dodge Caravan died warming up in the driveway last weekend. Turned the key and no engine cranking. Lights on the dash all lit and completed internal diagnostics normally. Keyless entry worked and the battery seemed OK. On closer inspection there was no clicking from the starter that would indicate a weak battery, nor were there any Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTC's) set by the computer (PCM) -I have a scan tool. Checked fuses and relays with volt meter in the realy center next to the PCM. By by following the schematic (using a Haynes manual) I was able to supply battery to the starter (the engine cranked just fine) and the fuel pump (it ran).
On further investigation I determined that the PCM was not supplying ground to the Automatic Shutdown Relay, or the Start relay. As the camshaft sensor and/or the crankshaft sensor can tell the PCM to shutdown, I repalced those two items on a long shot to no avail. Had the car towed to a shop I work with and they came to the same conclusion that I did -- the PCM needed replacement.
Called NAPA and they sold reconditioned units for about $170 (with core return) there was a nationwide backorder on them (Don't know why). Found an online outfit All Computer Resources, that had refurb units. The unit was more expensive, but they programmed the VIN and milage in before shipping. I had the unit overnighted to the shop. It arrived the next morning and I had my fingers crossed. The VIN determines the PIN for the passive security system (SKIS code). But, there were no problems. I picked the car up the next day. So far it's running just fine.
PS: if you pick a unit up from the junk yard you will have to get the VIN programmed in before it will run. It might start, but the security system will shut it down. Hope this helps someone.
Testimonial: "sorry for the late response. This worked great. Thanks,"
