Sounds like you got a short in the ignition switch bare wire sound like to me. Depending on the model you may have to remove the steering wheel to access the key module then look for a bare wire tape it up if you can.
check for a loose connection/dirty connection at the battery leads . IF you had the battery tested but not with a load test I would have it done again as it points to a failing cell / broken bridge in the battery
this means you have feed back going into the ignition circuit or power flowing have you installed a remote start? to find out which circuits are causing the issue pull one fuse out at a time when the car keeps running this will give you a starting point it could be a stuck relay to wires melted together make sure the key is off when pulling the fuses
Check - possibly replace the gas cap... I had a honda civic which would cut out on the freeway, would pull over,. remove & replace the cap and wahlah off I went again! Best regards Ck
Hi, if the wire to the computer was burned, the computer is probably bad. You can verify this by interrogating the fuel pump relay socket. What you do is pull the relay out, connect a 12 volt test light clip to battery positive, turn the key on, and probe the relay socket. There should be 2 terminals in the socket that light the test light. One of these goes to the pump and would be a dimmer light than the other, which is the relay coil ground signal from the computer. If you don't get this signal at the relay socket, it is possible to bypass the computer to see if the truck will run. What you would do is cut the red/blue wire from the computer to the relay and connect the relay side of the cut wire to chassis ground. This will make your pump run whenever the key is on. Please let me know if you have questions.
