Do an online search for the reset procedure. The light will stay on until it is reset. The dealer will undoubtedly charge you to do the reset and it's something you can do yourself.

Hello today i leaded out my Chevy Suburban truck to my sister she returned to me with the Service Engine Soon light on ?? Im sure she ran the truck up hill ? What might the problem be it was perfect this...

She didn't do anything wrong at all. Your truck is just fine and doing what it was designed to do. That's a normal indicator that comes on to remind you to get the oil changed. It's supposed to get reset every time the oil gets changed and frequently, Quickie Lube and other instant oil change shops will overlook resetting it. Look in your owners manual under "Resetting the Service Engine indicator light" and you can reset it yourself. Or just get the oil changed and tell them to make sure and reset it.

If you changed your oil just less than three miles ago, you just need to reset the computer. In this vehicle it may be the same as other chevys. what you will need to do is turn the key to the run position. Depress on the gas pedal three times and turn off the key. this should reset the computer. good Luck
