You want to check it with ohms on your multimeter. connect your meter to the leads and the reading shouldnt really be over 1 ohm. if you dont get a reading then your motor has a short and if it is above 1 ohm it might be burned up. also insure the fan turns freely. if the bearings are siezed up then that could also be the problem regardless of weither the motor was good or not.

1999 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo a/c electric fan not turning on.I've already replaced the relay, it worked for a very short time then it won't work again, water thermostat also has been change, no help.

There is a resistor mounted by the fan, this could have burned out. Look on passenger side right by fan motor should be 2 screews that have 5-6 wires pluged into it had to replace mine once fan only on high worth looking in too. Also, check if the blower motor Resistor Harness was faulty.

Good luck.

Check the fan operation by disconnecting the fan wiring. Using the battery use a set of jumper wires to see if the fan runs directly off the battery.

A/C RELAY SWITCH

It is behind the passenger headlight bucket. You need to take the whole front end apart to get to it, or you can cut a hole if you know exactly where it is.
