I locked my keys in my car had a lock smith come and open it with a slim jim and now the key when put into door lock dosen't unlock or lock door on driver side

a slim jim is not a good ideal to be using in todays cars and trucks with airbags everywhere and wires inside doors..call a pro and if he pulls out a slim jim send him packin...there a re far better tools to use than a slim jim

this This is what you have to do.Go to the hardware store and get a spring just like in the pic maybe smaller. Put the bottom side just like in the pic and the top side of the spring on the door cilynder. And you are done.

Open up the door panel and put the control rod back on. that often happens when getting in that way...still cheaper than a locksmith or a window!! (clip is probably in the bottom of the door)

with out the right tools it will be verry hard also you can break your glass or knock a lock rod off.

THE best way to do this is if you have power locks find somthing you can use as a wedge EXAMPLE;screw driver.place the wedge between the dood and the car you may have to pry it open a little. now get a coat hanger and push the power lock button.

Slim Jims only work on older cars. You need to insert it in the tight hole between the rubber strip and the window itself. Feel around for the lock rod and use the Slim Jim to unlock it.
Maybe lock bumping is a better option in your case.
