It could be a relay fuse sticking as well.... I have a 2008 lincoln navigator and had the same ticking noise coming from under passenger side dash and it was my fan blower that was causing the noise once I replaced it ....it stopped
It's a broken gear in the air circulation actuation motor behind the glove box. This link will show you how to replace the actuator. It's pretty easy to do.
It tercould be a blend door motor,Try get in turn off everying. Then start it and if you here anything,if not turn on the heater and turn the hot and cold switch. see if it stops.a nother thing open the hood start it up check the passenger front end see if you hear it up there. if so i think the air compressor for air ride is there.
I had the same problem when i had a leak on the passenger side dash. my radio went out. under the hood at the top you will have to remove the wipers and plastic cowling. under that is a drainage area with a rubber gromit for the water to feed out. if it is plugged just use your hand to remove any debris in the way. it will drain fine then. after the leak is stopped reset the radio. do this by either disconnecting the battery for a few minutes or disconnecting the switches under the passenger dash on the right side wall
I have the same problem i think. The noise is something to do with the air con inlet gate??? Q. is there a fuse to isolate this as the position of the problemis above the glove box and can only be accessed with the dash board out and that would be very expensive.
Look under dash on passenger side, most likely someones foot knocked the thin metal rod out of place in should attach to a white plastic thing. I found the answer on line when it happened to me. The driver side has one too to control temp.
I would start by checking all your fuses. Then I would check the A/c control panel on your dash. There is little vaves inside those black boxes under the dash. One side is vent the other side is a/c. it might be stuck. knock on it with something blunt.
