Don't have owners manual for a 1999 mercury cougar. Need to know what the relay numbers are in the under the hood fuse box. Relays (1-11). I'm not getting power to the fuel pump fuse. I need to know which relay is for the fuel pump.

Hello Saundra , the fuse # Is 19 in the under hood fuse / relay box . Also check the horn relay located in the same under hood fuse / relay box . Do you have a volt ohm meter ? you could test the both circuits right from the relay socket in the under hood fuse relay box . If you knew how ! VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis

There are two relay's in the under hood fuse box .Low beam & high beam relay's . The B+ voltage wire for the switch is orange with a black trace . Power is from fuse F26 7.5 amp ,location -central junction box , inside the passenger compartment . Do you know where this is ? This is B+ voltage for control of the relays . B+ voltage for the headlamps comes directly from the BATTERY . Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. I don't see a fuse for the horn but I can tell you the horn relay is located in the power distribution box located under the hood of the car in the engine compartment on the drivers side of the vehicle. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout. The horn relay is the one marked "R6". This should be in your owners manual if you have one. The fuse for the stop lamps is located in the passenger compatment fuse panel (see picture of location below) The fuse you are looking for will be in the number 24 position (see picture of layout below). this should be in your owners manual if you have one. Fans are usually on a relay did you look in the power distribution box ? under the hood there should be a box that has all your relays and some fuses in it .. under the lid there is usually a diagram that will tell you which is which thanks Jerry and holler if you need more.

theres one under left side of dash and one on left fender well under hood
